The agreement
In short: Using Safentora means you accept these terms. They're written to be read.
These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and ScientistsHub Labs covering the Safentora apps, dashboard, and services. By creating an account, pairing a device, or using the service, you accept them.
We keep these terms in plain language on purpose. Where a section has legal weight, the summary card above it tells you the same thing in one sentence — if the two ever seem to conflict, the full text governs.
What Safentora is
In short: A family-safety service: location sharing, safe-zone alerts, screen-time insight, app rules, and remote lock — transparent to the monitored child by design.
Safentora provides family safety features including live location sharing, safe-zone (geofence) alerts, per-app screen-time reporting, app blocking, and temporary remote device lock, managed by guardians through the dashboard and mobile app.
Monitoring is transparent by design: the monitored device shows a consent screen before monitoring starts, displays a persistent notification while location is shared, and shows a visible notice for every enforcement action. These transparency behaviors are part of the service and cannot be disabled.
Accounts and family roles
In short: Parents own the family, partners are invited co-guardians, children join by pairing code. You're responsible for keeping your credentials safe.
A family has one owning Parent account, optional invited Partner accounts with guardian capabilities, and Child accounts joined by pairing a device. Guardians must be adults with legal authority over the children they monitor.
You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your password confidential. Tell us immediately at the support address below if you believe your account is compromised — changing your password revokes every active session.
Acceptable use
In short: Monitor only children in your legal care, with the device consent flow intact. Covert tracking of adults is prohibited and gets accounts terminated.
You may use Safentora only to look after children for whom you are the parent or legal guardian. You must not use it to monitor adults without their knowledge and consent, for employee surveillance, for stalking or harassment, or in any way that circumvents the product's consent and visibility features.
You must not attempt to break the service's security, access other families' data, reverse the rate limits, or resell the service. Good-faith security research reported responsibly is welcome — see the Security page for our disclosure policy.
Violations of this section are grounds for immediate account termination. Where use appears unlawful, we may be required to cooperate with authorities.
Children's accounts
In short: Guardians provide the legally operative consent for child accounts; the in-app consent screen keeps the child informed on top of that.
Child accounts exist only inside a family, are created by pairing a device with a guardian-generated code, and have no password or email of their own. The guardian provides the consent required by applicable children's-privacy law; the device-level consent screen additionally keeps the child informed about exactly what is monitored.
How children's data is handled — collection, visibility, retention, deletion — is governed by the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Availability and honest limits
In short: Safety features depend on things outside our control (connectivity, battery, OS settings). Safentora assists your parenting — it doesn't replace it.
We work to keep the service reliable, but real-world safety features have real-world dependencies: a phone that is off, offline, out of battery, or has had its permissions revoked cannot report location or enforce rules. The dashboard shows honest state (delivered / not delivered / not enforced) rather than pretending.
The service is provided “as is” during its current release phase. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScientistsHub Labs is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the preceding 12 months.
Safentora is a tool that supports supervision — it is not a guarantee of any person's safety and is not a substitute for appropriate adult care.
Leaving, and being asked to leave
In short: Stop any time — your family's data goes with you. We terminate accounts that abuse the service or other people.
You can stop using Safentora whenever you want: remove members, unpair devices, or delete the family. Associated data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, particularly the acceptable-use section. Where practical we will tell you why.
Changes and contact
In short: We'll flag material changes on this page before they take effect. Questions reach a human.
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced on this page with an updated date before taking effect; continuing to use the service after that constitutes acceptance.
